How much would you pay to see David Crowder, or Newsboys, or Muse for that matter. $50. Front row, backstage all-access pass. This Saturday. Are you in?

If I left it at that and gave my cell phone number I think I would have a few voice mails by the time I got off work tomorrow.

But what if the story was a little different? Would my phone still be ringing? What if there was a worship night at our church? You and I both attend Sunday services regularly. We may even handout bulletins (newsletters) or help usher, but are we excited about God? Do we actually worship Him? Do we find a way to express our love, respect, appreciation, unworthiness, awe, wonder… For The Creator, The Redeemer, The Savior, The Provider, The Healer, The Comforter?

If there was a life auditor, who came and performed an analysis of my life, would my results read CHRISTIAN:

a follower and Disciple of Christ, one who shows through their life the teachings of Christ?

Why are we going to what we go to? Why are we doing what we are doing? Why are we living life the way we are living? What are we living for? Who are we living for?

We DVR our favorite TV shows, buy our favorite bands music, follow our favorite Teams Twitter feeds, know all the latest Hollywood trends and gossip; but do we know what God is saying today? Have we sought out His will and purpose for why we exist?

Romans 12:1-2 says:
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. (‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭1-2‬ MSG)

I want the best in my life and I want you to have the best in your life! God has never let me down when I have put Him first in my life. It takes deliberate and intentional work, it takes sacrifice and self-control, but oh man, is the reward worth it!

No one has ever questioned the work and the sacrifice of an Olympian standing on a podium raising their gold metal. I promise you when you stand in the end before the Almighty God and He receives you with open arms, no one will question your dedication to Christ.

Jesus tells us in the Gospel of Matthew:
“Don’t look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don’t fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do. The way to life—to God!—is vigorous and requires total attention. (‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13-14‬ MSG)

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. (‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬ ESV)
